Ms. Najah N. Adams has years of legal experience as a litigator. Ms. Adams' handled hundreds of family law cases, many of which involved domestic, sexual, repeat, dating, or stalking violence. In addition to family law, Ms. Adams is experienced in consumer, dependency, probate, and social security matters. Her dedication to her clients earned her the "2012 Advocate of the Year" from the Suwannee Valley Victim Assistance Coalition. Ms. Adams also handles business formations for non-profit and for-profit corporations. As a triple-Gator, Ms. Adams earned her Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications with a minor in French (2001), Masters of Family, Youth and Community Science (2005) and Juris Doctor (2005).
Ms. Adams' commitment to excellence is seen by her leadership roles within the profession and community. In 2012, Ms. Adams was appointed by former Florida Bar President Gwen Young to the Committee For Diversity And Inclusion and has been reappointed by every Florida Bar President to the committee to date. Ms. Adams was President of the Third Judicial Circuit Bar Association (2014), previous Treasurer of the Josiah T. Walls Bar Association, Member of the James C. Adkins, Jr. American Inn of Court, Chair of the Suwannee Valley Victim Assistance Coalition and Former Board Member for Gainesville Home Instruction For Parents Of Preschool Youngsters.
Born in Flushing, New York, Ms. Adams is a first-generation American. Her Caribbean roots and upbringing are central to her hard work ethic, morals, and values. Ms. Adams has two (2) young children and is committed to living a life that pleases God. She is an active members of Williams Temple Church of God in Christ, in Gainesville, Florida. Ms. Adams is a licensed Evangelist Missionary committed to the call of sharing the Gospel.
