Mrs. Summer L. Griggs believes all are worthy of quality representation.  Mrs. Griggs worked as an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office in Miami, Florida, as a Staff Attorney for Three Rivers Legal Services, Inc., and in private practice. Mrs. Griggs' love for service was furthered through her completion of a three year Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Fellowship in Jacksonville, Florida.  Mrs. Griggs' passion for the law also extends to legal education.  She taught business, criminal, and paralegal courses for Keiser University (West Palm Beach, Florida) and Administrative Law for Florida Coastal School of Law (Jacksonville, Florida).

Mrs. Griggs is a native of Gainesville, Florida and graduated from Gainesville High School in 1995. She then matriculated through Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 1999; she is proud of her family’s Rattler Legacy.  Mrs. Griggs then attended Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee, Florida and received her Juris Doctor degree in 2002. During her tenure at Florida State, Mrs. Griggs had the opportunity to study abroad at Oxford University in England.  During the Summer of 2001, Mrs. Griggs completed a Judicial Clerkship for Seventh Judicial Circuit Court in DeLand, Florida.   She was sworn into the Florida Bar in October of 2002.

Mrs. Griggs is the eldest of four children, is married and is a proud bonus mom to an 11th grade student at Gainesville High School.  Mrs. Griggs has a passion for community service and is a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, The American Bar Association, Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, Third Judicial Circuit Bar Association, Josiah T. Walls Bar Association, and several local civic organizations.

Mrs. Griggs' passion for the law stems from her first-hand awareness of the lack of community resources devoted to low-income communities. Via her education and volunteer efforts, she has had the unique opportunity to not only provide needed legal services, but to also educate the community.  She loves the Lord and puts Him first in all of her endeavors.  Mrs. Griggs welcomes the opportunity to further serve and provide quality services to her community.
